Městský pivovar Štramberk

After 150 years, we’ve restored local tradition of brewing up on place where the beer was brewed up already centuries ago. The Town Brewery Štramberk is situated directly on the Štramberk square in historical house No. 5 that belongs to original civic houses with right to brew up. You can see a rugged cellar here that is under the level of today’s square, with stone arches and two wells engraved in the rock––the main and the auxiliary one that were used as a source of water for beer. During clearance and terrain works, pieces of medieval ceramic beer cups were found among others, that prove tradition of brewing up in this house. The building of the brewery is split into several plants where we offer our guests “live” non-filtered beer with yeast. This beer is of special character and differs from large breweries’ beers because of the taste that is modified with filtration, stabilization and pasteurization. When entering into the brewery, you will find a Town Pub on the ground floor, Brewery Restaurant and the tap with copper brew house outfits. You can find a Stone Bar-room in the basement, and the Apollo Burn Club modern sport&dance bar with large projection. We brew up light pilsner-like non-filtered lager Trubač and dark Flek-like non-filtered lager The Troobacz. You can taste here some of the special beers with sour-cherry or plum flavors.
