From historical point of view, it is pretty difficult to track the very beginnings of brewing up in Nymburk and its surroundings. We are unable to definitely say when, where and who started here with brewing up. Undoubtedly, it was at the very beginning of the town foundation. The foundation of the Nymburk brewery started a new era of brewing up in Nymburk based on prior rich experiences and long-term tradition of brewing up in our town. Out brewery was founded by the act of C. K. Country Court Mladá Boleslav No. 2064 on 29th April 1895 and was constituted as the Nymbursky pivovar, s.r.o. The first brew in newly-built brewery was brewed on 19th March 1898. During the first season the output was 21,075 hl of beer. During the year, you can use phone to apply for excursion with degustation of beer in the brewery cultural room. Each third Saturday in June, the Den Postřižinského piva (Day of Postřižiny beer) takes place in the brewery including historic train rides. We can contact you with lodging facilities in the town and nearby. You can join the excursion with visiting the Bohumil Hrabal’s town museum, the Poděbrady spa, the outdoor museum in Přerov nad Labem, the Botanicus Middle-Age crafts village in Ostrá or some of the exhibitions in Lysá nad Labem.
