Rodinný pivovar v Chodové Plané

The Family Brewery in Chodová Planá is the oldest brewery in Western Bohemia. The first written note about it comes from the year 1573. However, the beer was brewed up here for sure much earlier. The proof of this old history are original stock cellars from 12th century cut in granite rock. They are being used till now for secondary fermentation of local special lager. In romantic background of the brewery the visitor can find a little brewery museum and original restaurant called “Ve Skále” (“In Rock”) placed in historical parts of granite cellars. The brewery restaurant is open daily from 11.00 to 23.00 o’clock and in addition to yeast beer tapped directly from store barrels of the rocky cellar, it provides a wide assortment of both Czech and foreign cooking. The brewery site is followed by a set of buildings of former old castle and estate. In one of them the brewery offers stylish lodging with capacity of 89 beds and view on romantic silhouette of the brewery. In the U SLÁDKA*** hotel you can find not only wonderful historical interiors but also operation of original beer spa-therapy. It is a reconditioning spa therapy that includes hot relaxing baths, massages and hot packs. Part of the hot bath is the Ilsano mineral water, black Bathing Beer, mixture of hops, medical herbs and beer ferment with rejuvenescent effects. The procedure objective is to harmonize the functionality of organism, mental relax, reconditioning and relax for muscles, heating-up of joints and curative course of treatment for both skin and hair. This procedure provably improves the immunity of our body.
